Aerospace is a highly integrated high-tech cluster and its development can boost the development of astronomy, earth science, life science, information science and energy technology, biotechnology, new materials, new energy and so on.

In the aerospace field, NSCC-TJ has cooperated with the Institute of Mechanics, National Fluid Dynamics Laboratory, and other units to carry out the numerical simulation of the flow field of aerospace vehicles.

Application examples:

NSCC-TJ has cooperated with the Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to simulate the design of flow field simulation of aerospace vehicles through the aircraft flow field simulation software CCFD and improve the aero dynamic design efficiency. The CCFD software on the "TH-1A" conducted a series of simulation. For example, compressible tablet flow around the numerical simulation, the free stream Mach number equal to 8, the temperature is equal to 169.44K (The wall temperature is equal to 1.9 times the flow temperature), the Reynolds number is equal to 2 million.

Figure 1 shows the results of performance testing on the "TH-1A" supercomputer. CPU core numbers are increased from 256 to 8192 (a) and 256 to 16384 (b) respectively. The test results show linear or superlinear acceleration characteristics.

In addition to the parallel efficiency testing, the RAE2822 around the flow simulation and strong cold wall plate flow around a simulation test are all used 8192 CPU cores and the supercritical airfoil of RAE2822 is NASA NPARC Alliance Verification and Validation Archive Benchmarks so that the test results is good.
